KES specializes in being responsive to industrial and governmental needs. One of our key enablers has been mastery of engineering simulation tools such as:
- 3D design
- Finite Element Analysis (linear, implicit nonlinear, explicit nonlinear)
- Computational Fluid Dynamics
- Kinematic Modeling
- Pipe Stress
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
- Blast, Fire, and Chemical Release
- Pipe flow
- and other computational tools
These tools do no replace traditional methods, references, or codes. KES using the traditional methods, modern tools, and our extensive experience in practical applications to provide cost effective solutions. We partner with our clients to develop the project requirements and use the right tool for the job at hand.
Some projects only require spreadsheet calculations and a few pages of the appropriate construction code. Others require detailed design or analysis. Others require multi-physics simulations and partnering with other firms to develop a full solutions.
One of the more frequent applications is 3rd Party independent review, where we are presented a fully developed design and provide an objective series of simulations to provide our Client with due diligence with respect to design review and reliability. It can also be a cost effective method as it uses in-house expertise to develop an item or system which the Client is confident meets specific needs and is constructible, then uses our services to determine reliability, design margins, and check the various engineering assumptions. Verification & Validation (V&V) techniques are used to help prevent the “garbage in/garbage out” (GIGO) of questionable simulation techniques.
Kemper Engineering Services provides cost effective, timely solutions by having a full range of tools and the expertise in how to effectively apply them.
