Bart Kemper, PE and Linda Cross, EI attended the International WorkBoat Show in New Orleans, La.   Workboats are just that — boats other than pleasure or fishing craft.   They include uses such as cargo transport, diving, offshore fabrication support, surveying, and military or police patrolling.  Kemper Engineering Services has an established history in marine engineering, ranging from shipyard support to diving systems to shipboard equipment and marine structures.

The following week Bart and Linda were at the NASA Stennis Space Center for the Marine Industry Small Business Summit.  We reconnected with past contacts as well as learned about upcoming needs in the international and Gulf Coast needs in ship building, ROVs, AUVs, and general research.

KES has attended the US Coast Guard/ASME marine technology workshops as well as Underwater Intervention, including giving multiple presentations at both.  This is KES’ first attendance at the International WorkBoat Show.  Bart and Linda plan to present at the 2017 Underwater Intervention program sponsored by the Marine Technical Society.   KES actively supports our Gulf Coast marine industry.
