Launching a new product can take years of hard work. Our friends at Guide’s Choice of Ponchatoula, La. came to KES several years ago to assist with a concept they had based on years of experience with hunting, fishing, industrial work, and parenting — how to carry a beverage. Hydration is critical. While there are large bladder-style solutions, most people just want to drink from a bottle or can. We not only assisted with developing patent drawings, we also shared with them other possible markets and improvements. Our collaboration resulted in our being included on the patent application. We did so without any additional charges to our Clients, assigning all rights to them.
They launched their product, the Hip Huggy, in 2013. Now, US Patent 8,919,622, “Hands Free Beverage Carrier That Attaches To A Person’s Clothing Or A Wearable Accessory” has been awarded. Bart Kemper, Krista Kemper, and our former employee Mark Gabriel all earned a share of the credit in developing this product under the leadership of our Clients, Creighton Ward and Victor Bergeron. Helping our Clients succeed is how we succeed.
