Teaching at ULL

KES provides a presentation on engineering codes and standards at ULL. Volunteering is part of how we give back to the profession.

KES is OK so far. How are you doing with the flooding?

Our offices in Baton Rouge and Franklin are untouched so far. We have been operating from home as well as at work. So far only one of our team has had to evacuate. We are still waiting to see what the damage there is.

How are you? If we can help, please contact us. Whether it’s doing a fitness for service to see if equipment can be salvaged, or overflow work because your staff is not available, or some other flood-related assistance, please contact us. If it’s incidental work, we’ll try to do it for free. If it’s more, we’ll help out the best we can.

We are all in this together.

LSU Capstone May 2016 — Coaching Success

The second semester of Capstone is “show time”. This is the day it works, or it doesn’t. The path to succeeding often comes with a lot of help — which is one of the lessons that is supposed to be learned.

Underwater Intervention 2016

KES has been leading in acrylic window analysis and modeling, building on the work by the late Dr. Jerry Stachiw. This was Bart Kemper’s return to UI since 2013 and he brought further work in using modern engineering tools to predict acrylic window performance.
